Can someone fax/email/scan me the template if possible? I'd like to see where the hole is suppose to go on the cowling before I mess something up.

Thanks.

I just did a custom type of snorkel on my Rangie. I didn't use a template and just kinda eye balled it. came out pretty good. You can pretty much put it anywhere you want to on the upper part of the cowl. I put mine more on the top then off to the side. If you want some pics of the build up I have them just give a shout.

Adrian, I emailed Paul to see if he would be joining us on Sunday. Hopefully he will and we'll be able to see his snorkel setup.

Paul, can you make it on Sunday? Let me know.

Thanks,

John

Paul,

Thanks for the pics. Couple of questions: did you 2.5" diam pipe? Is it PVC? What type of head did you use?

Thanks again.

It is actually 2" pipe, and it is ABS, or conduit, if you go to HomeDepot, or the equivilant of one where ever you are you can find it with the electrical stuffs. As for the head, that to is conduit material, and also has a 2" diamiter opening, it is or should be in the same place, you'll know it when you see it just do a little hunting I'm not sure of the technical name for it. But it will jump out at you and scream "look at all the money I am about to save!" Good luck.

Paul,

Could you send me some pics of your homemade set up also. I cant see spending upwards of $300 on something I can build myself.

Thanks,
Jeff

Paul let me know how it goes. I'm starting on a 5.0 now and not sure of induction yet - 1404, Predator or EFI are all under consideration. But I did decide to stick with the 4 speed for now since it had a partial rebuild. Can't wait to see the snorkel pics.
