Well, just got the Rangie('95 LWB) back from having the brake problem fixed. Now, the tach isn't working, the EAS light isn't on(I have an EAS fault now, getting ready to go to coils), but the alt light isn't on. I had a new alt put in last Spring.

The air suspension is in a minor fault and at least still corrects itself and can pump itself up. I remember for the alt failure that it was on the bump stops and nothing worked.

I first noticed that the tach was on and off again on the way to the shop early in the week. The speedo still works, too. Check the connections to the gauge pod??

Are these any clues?? I'm going to check the alternator connections at lunch.

Thanks!
Jason.

Just went out and looked at the Rangie:

The white wire coming off the back of the alternator is either loose or has a broken wire. There is a very slight crack in the insulation about a quarter inch from the connector. Since I didn't have someone watching the tach, I don't know which one it is yet, but I could get the tach and EAS lights to work if I positioned the wire and connector differently.

But why would this be related to the EAS??

Jason.
