I looked through the archives but found nothing about this. I'm putting a new exhaust on my truck (D1) and I'm gunna go with a turbo muffler or glass pack. I know there's no sensors behind the mufflers to cause the truck to throw a code, but would the change in backpressure be great enough to throw a code and therefore not let the vehicle pass inspection? I live in NC...not that it matters. Why can't I live in SC.... Anyone have experience with this? thanks, Brad |

Probably not. If you are worried about throwing a code, just un-bolt the exhaust from the y-pipe back and drive around. It will sound a little redneck-ish (and a little loud), but that would tell you if you'd throw a code or not. |

No,, O2 sensors sense percentage of oxygen in the exhaust not volume or velocity so you won't have any problems with the O2 sensors throwing codes. Make sure what ever you do, you do it behind the "Y" pipe and you should be just fine. |
