My D1 came without tint, and I'd like to keep prying eyes out of cargo area, especially when gear is back there. Anyone have a particular brand or tint color that they've had installed, and if so, did they remove any windows during the installation to get full coverage to the edges of the glass? I'm thinking about resealing the two rear-quarter windows and thought about having them tinted at that time for a full-coverage application. Thanks! Cheers, e |

I've used 3M Panther black with great success in several vehicles over the years. No glass removal was necessary as a decent installer can slide tint into the most inaccessible places. As I remember, it comes in 4 grades, Light, Medium, Dark & Limo. I used Limo in rear side windows, it's opaque from the outside, but you can see out. Good luck |

I used some wird Japanese brand that is probably not available in the states. No major problems, with the exception of trying to get all the air bubbles out around the rear window defroster. Did all the backwindows and the sunroofs, with the exception of the alpine windows. Didn't feel like dropping the headlining to get to them. Used 20% Dark Green for the sides and 10% Super Black for the sun roofs. |
