My drivers door on my 95 disco will not open from inside or outside. Handles move but door doesn't open. Any suggestions. |

Could be a few things. As these trucks get older, corrosion and fatigue take their toll on the doors. First, try pulling up on the lock knob while trying to open the door. Once you can get the door open. remove the inner panels and take a look at the latch, you may find that the arms that actuate the latch have worn and need to be adjusted. There may also be enough corrosion that the links won't move, and when they do, the plastic pieces sometime break and you are really screwed then. Adjust the actuators and lubricate every moving part and you will probably be alright. Peace, Paul |

Had the same problem with my 96. Basically, the whole latch/release mechinism gave it up. To quote Paul, I was "really screwed". Had to replace the whole thing. |

I was having the same trouble. I dont know what was going on. When it rains, the door locks and handles stop working. When its sunny and dry, the doors work fine. I cant figure it out. |
