Hi, I have a '94 auto and I'm trying to get the t handle gear selector off. I searched and didn't find much but I seem to remember someone saying to put it in neutral and just pull straight up. Is this right? I just about popped a gonad trying earlier. Thanks for the input, Blake |

Mine's a '94 D1, not sure if the same. Pry the textured cover on top off with a small standard screwdriver. You should see a clip and a half round plastic piece that works with the thumb button to shift out of park or neutral. Pry off the clip and remove it, the plastic half round piece and slide the button out the side. Below it you'll see a 3/4" nut. Back that out and the t-handle should slide off. It'll make sense once you get it apart. |

Hi Blake, Thanks for all the info. What I was concerned about is having lots of tiny parts and springs fall out as it was being removed ad just wanted to extra careful. Thanks again! |
