Hylosil = RTV?

I pulled the T-case interlock and it specified hylosil to reseal it. I ended up using blue RTV. I just wanted to do things right according to the manual. I'm also changing all the fluids and it suggests using hylomar on the t-case fill threads. I've used the Permatex version bedore for bolt on stuff with gaskets, not sure why I'd be using it there if it's the same.
