Dear "Mr. Friendly",
New to the message board but I have run a search and checked the archives about this subject. By doing this ONE (1) person has stated the wheels will fit but that new lugs would be needed. Call me crazy but I would hate to spend $1,000 on one person's statement.

More wasted space? You're an ass.

nope I am not an ass, there have been at least 7 or 8 different threads on the same exact topic. So I am just stating the truth.

I usually don't get involved in these matters of opinion, but why would you want to put 19" wheels on a perfectly good disco? At a minimum, you are going to severly limit your tire choices and hurt your off-road ability. Spend your grand elsewhere.

This has been discussed a few times...

Come on guys don't alienate new people. It takes awhile to navigate the board and lots of time reading to keep up with all the different posts.

He titled his post exactly and I personally think the wasted space was telling him to do a search. You didn't have to read the thread.

Personally I would not recomend moving up to 19" wheels but people have different styles and preferences.

John,

The lugs are different size and the bolt pattern might be different as well. EXPENSIVE

John, As Brian said, I didn't mean my post to alienate. I hope you did not take it so. My 99D2 came with 18" rims and ACE, while I personally think they look nice, I really wish now I had the 16" wheels. You have MANY more tire options that are less expensive. Also note that D2's eat tires. Before you spend that $1000, check out your options. And if you feel compelled to change. Check the for sale section. Often, guys here will flat out swap their 18" rims for 16"'s so they can put on a larger tire and lift. The 18"s are bolt on and play.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Dweb!

Chris,

I didn't know he started the same thread a few days ago. That is a different story. I figuered that with only 4 posts under his name that he was a complete newbie on the subject.

BTW...I am now down to 15" rims. I traded straight accross se7 alloys for 15" steels. Should be no problem with that kind of trade.

because i see 5 of your posts here in this thread and none of them answer the question, i have to wonder if you are really concerned with wasted space. :-)

Like was stated in the other tread yes they will fit, but you will have to get the 03 RR lug nuts, which are about $40 a lug so does that help? It is answered. :-) :-) :-)

I think that you will also have to replace the posts. Not positive but probable.

we fit one on a d2. it fits, bolt pattern matches, but the d2 lugs are to big. hence, the 40 bucks a throw for 03 lugs. they defintely fit. i say just do it!!

Thank you Gil for the explanation.

The one post I was refering to was yours and I appreciate the info / input. I was just looking for someone else to verify before I spent the cash. In looking at any subject on any message board one could get three different answers (two wrong) to the same question. Call me prudent.

As far as Junior (Chris) is concerned, after viewing the youngsters bio, I now completely understand.

Thanks again!
John

I think I know the problem,

Hey Chris,

Did you do the search AFTER clicking on archives? That's the only way to search all of them. I just searched by clicking above and got two results. Then I searched after clicking on archives and got over 200. Just a tip. :-)

Cheers,

Kennith
