friend of mine was having the typical hesitation problems we all experience with our range rovers from time to
time.

figuring the best place to start is with a Tune-UP

replaced plugs, Dist Cap, Rotor Arm, wires, fuel filter.

car ran for about 3 hours after tune up and was still rough, if noit worse.

replaced the coil, it workd for 1/2 hour. redid wire, nothing, replaced stepper motor. started but would not run for
long.

finally decided to follow the test proceedure in the book and retest all items.

manual recommends. taking the rotor cap off and holding the HT lead on top of the rotor. turn the ignition over
and it should NOT SPARK. we had spark, how odd.. this is brand new.

i decided to dig the old one out of the garbage. clean it up, install.. same test. this time , creank it and no spark
from the HT lead.. strap the cap back on, CAR STARTS AND RUNS

the car is rouning rough with a low idle, but as i said we replaced the stepper motor, so ithink it is still learning.

_this was my friends car.

MY TRuck,, had old enopugh VERYU similar issues last week, but cured itself, still lacks power though.

i have the same aftermarket Rotor Arm as my friend.i bought mine at ADVANCE AUTO 3 months ago. i have ordred
genuine and we shall see if it gives me life back.

i think it will.

just an FYI, dont buy the aftermarket Rotor Arm.

also i have a baseplate on the way, after this i'll have renewed every area of my EFI.

Damn, I can't believe Ron is selling it!

compare this for $5500 and mine that I bought for 6k... i wouldn't even think of forking over my cash to that white trash surfer dude!
hope he keeps it.

Kyle, nothing wrong with beaters. they are reliable, too, once they hit $10k plank. Rob's just still ways under it.

we were going to get antique plates for the 109, yet, PA MV11 says you can't drive it on a daily basis so we didn't get them. same for classic plates unfortunately. check it out http://www.dmv.state.pa.us/pdotforms/mv_forms/mv-11.pdf
