I did search the archives and have not found any info on this. Has anybody had to change a door lock actuator? The one I need to change is on the drivers side rear door. I imagine that it is not complicated, but I thougth I'd ask. Also, first post. Just bought my first Disco. '97 SE 75k miles great shape. Added ARB bumper this week. Convinced my wife that this will be a good vehicle for the new baby. Easier access than the Mustangs or the Dodge 4x4 extended cab. That's what she believes anyhow. HeHe.... Yea, we need the bumper and winch, just in case, yea that's it. Red Cone, here we come. ;) |

I did my 95, just pull off the door panel and it a simple unbolt 4 bolts and detach the wiring harness, unhook from the lock. You should lube the lock mechanism while in there, I used synthic white grease stuff, and adjust the lock puller mechanism, threads in and out to adjust the length. Try it a million times before you put the door panel on, or off the panel come again, don't ask how I know |
