Speaking of St. Louis, that's where I live. I've been looking to buy my first Discovery for the past 6 mos. Have been looking at 95-98's, I really like the 97's as I read that year came standard with the wood panel int. If you guys know of one close by that comes up for sale, let me know. -Matt | ||

hey Matt, I got mine in Kansas City, recovered theft.. www.midwayauto.com its a 99 series 1. All they have at the moment is a nice series II and some fixers.. But you never know what can pop up. Its like my 4th car from there heh. leo | ||

Thanks, that's just a few miles from my house, I'll run by there tomorrow morning. Being my first LR, I'm hoping to find one from a private owner. It always nice to know the history and meet the previous owner. I'm amazed that 9 out of 10 LR's I find 4sale turn out to be used car lots. There is new listing in todays paper for a 96 disco, I just wish the guy would stay at home to answer his phone. Which reminds mw I need to call again. -Matt | ||

Well I stopped by there yesterday morning to check them out. None of them had prices on them. I don't think I'll be test driving the gold 2000. The front tires are so blad, the threads are showing. One of them had been plugged, and the plug was sticking out a half inch above the bald tread. He's got those things packed in there so tight, I couldn't walk between them to check out the inside. I'm going to call them tomorrow and get some prices. BTW, anyone know when LR went from the flush door handles to the bar type, and put the rear/side windows flush with the body? I thought it was 98 to 99. He has the blue one labled as a 99, but it has flush door handles and rear/side windows with the ext seals. Maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, I'll let you know if I demo any, I'm curious to hear what he's asking for them. -Matt | ||
