Latest rumors about CDL and '04 Disco...

Author Message   John Davies (John_davies2) New Member Username: John_davies2 Post Number: 25 Registered: 02-2003 Posted on Wednesday, April 02, 2003 - 05:01 pm:    I just test drove (for the third time) an '03 Disco II and the salesman assured me ("reliable information from LR service school") that CDL was _not_ coming to the USA next year. What are the latest rumors, and when can we expect LRNA to release official word about this? I am wavering between buying a new Disco II S, or a '95 to '97 Series 80 Land Cruiser with front and rear lockers. If LRNA would build me a Disco with CDL, then I think the sale would be a done deal. Do a search on the archives and you can find tons of discussions on retro-fitting those high-demand 03 headlights... I think Carter is the resident expert on the conversions.
