I have realized the air dam and fog lights on the front of the Disco have to go. I have already unwired the fog lights and used those wires to hook up my Hella FF1000's. But what is the best way to remove the air dam and make it more like a "regular" bumper. There are pix in my gallery... www.discoweb.org/alexmoore.htm Thanks, for the help. I'm pretty new to this thing Take care, Alex |

if you mean that plastic thing under the bumper, it is held to the bumper with a few screws. It is also screwed to the bumper end caps. Undo all the screws, and off it goes. you will have to trim the bumper caps - the plastic is really soft, you can do it with a knife.

and you will want to cut along the shallow impression the runs parallel along the endcap. that way your truck won't look like it has fangs. |

It's really easy to do. Even I was able to do it. As somebody else on this board says, "Just Do It!"

best is to use a utility knife. score where you want to cut then bend the plastic to cut completely through the end cap. |
