I went to replace the exhaust manifold gasket last night on my 1991 Range Rover and found out that the exhaust was being held on to the manifold by 1 nut in the front. There should be 3 on each six - 6 total. So I need to replace 5 nuts. Also on the passenger side (the side I replaced the gasket on) I discovered one of the studs that the nut screws on to is missing. The stud screws in to the exhaust manifold and the exhaust pipe slides on to the studs and is attached from below by a nut.

I was wondering if anyone knew what size stud I needed (size, thread pattern, length). And what size nut.

I took the one nut off and plan on going to local parts houses and hardware stores to see if I can find a match.

Any suggestions on where to find these parts?

Also - are these studs the same thread pattern on both ends?

Thanks a lot,
Matt

try your local hardware store and just get hex-head bolts for a few cents each.
