On another thread it was suggested that the rotoflex could be the cause for some driver's side clunking when accelerating/deccelerating. My '97 does not have the rotoflex. Anything else that might be causing this? Thanks in advance!

Zane, most likely it's just slack in the gears taken up and released. I have the same clunk in all full-time 4x4s, from the reasonable thunk in the Disco to scary BANG in the jeep.
