Any of y'all know what the thickness is for the exhaust manifold for a D1?

The gasket between the head and manifold is a multi-piece metal gasket, whereas the gasket to the downpipe is single thickness. I'll measure one of each this evening if I remember.

Peace,
Paul

Kewl, thanks. Basically what I'm trying to get done is replace the leaky gasket my wife has in her rig to either Mr. Gaskets' copper gasket, or their Ultra Seal series gasket...anyone know if there are compatibilities w/ other applications?

Henry:
Your problem is more likely to be a warped manifold. Have you considered removing the manifold and checking it for true? You may be able to draw-file it true.

I have found these manifolds tend to "Walk" around on the heads and can be a bear to reinstall if the engine/heads are in the car. I prefer to remount the manifolds with the heads off the car as it can take some massaging to get the bolts to line up without stripping the threads from the head. The ports never seem to want to line up for me and not tightening the bolts and putting them all in place and then tightening seems to make them bind up even more.

I'm actually just gonna have a shop do it for me. I just don't use "normal" gaskets.
