I am in the market for sliders, tax refund coming :-), and have researched every brand, checked archives, etc. and it has boiled down to:

1. Trek Outfitters, $625

http://www.trekoutfitters.com/discovery/ds1slide.htm

2. Rovertym with nerf bars, $625

http://www.rovertym.com/sliders.htm

Have not heard much about the trek outfitters slider, but I like the design. Both are priced the same, I like them both, but I just can't seem to make up my mind. I know that the wide sill and nerf bar might induce bending, but I like the extra width so that I can get to my roof rack, and I am pretty carefull when wheeling. All opinions are welcome including flames.

Thanks.

If you were in colorado, and wanted so permanent ones, I would build you some. However, I don't know where you are, and MOST people like the idea of taking them off for some silly arse reason. Mine are similar to RTE's, though they don't follow the body line, and they must be welded and fastened.

Thanks John, but I am in OK, I am now leaning more towards the RTE's at this point, btw I have seen your red rangie on pirate4x4, very nicely outfitted truck.

Alan, I purchased and installed Rovertym's Extreme Sliders a couple of years ago on My 93 LWB before heading down to Ouray, CO for the national LR rally. since then I've hammered them silly and no bends of any kind, absolutely rock solid. I installed them myself ( 7 hours total time with no help in the middle of the night in a garage in Aurora, CO the night before heading to Ouray, the instructions are very straight forward. I recently got the matching rear bumper, and it looks real sweet.

Alan, Yes I posted some pics of the rear bumper on my site. But it's just like the Rovertym pics, with added Jate rings on either side.
