Yesterday (rainy) afternoon as I watched my Moab 2001 video my VCR burped and then started chewing. Reacting quickly I pressed stop and then eject. Nothing. The tape was stuck fast and the eager VCR munched happily on the delicate magnetic tape each time the unit was turned on. The VCR is a vintage 1987 unit and passed its prime sometime during college. Anyway, my choice was to save the tape or the VCR. I know I can replace both and I know the VCR will be more expensive to replace should it become damaged despite my surgeon-like tape extraction skills. But if I maul the tape to save the VCR, I can't watch the tape until I order a new one... The VCR is in a box out at the street in about 200 pieces. Let's just say it thought it enjoyed the Moab video as much as I do. Ron W. p.s. Ho, can we get the Moab 2002 in a DVD? |

You can probably get a VCR cheaper than the Moab 2001 Video nowadays......, you can purchase a 2- head VCR for 21.95 @ Wal-Mart...Really |

Ron, What part of that story is weird? I'd say you had your priorities straight! Karen |

Thanks Karen, it's nice to confirm reality once in a while. I wish I could turn this "hobby" into a money-making endeavor. Ron Ward |

If the Moab videos can be produced on DVD, I say go for it! I'd be willing to bet that most of us either 1) own a DVD player, or 2) have a DVD-ROM drive on our computers or laptops. I know that I'd take the Moab DVDs on my business trips with me to pass the time! I'm currently in Norman, OK, and I'd love nothing more than to watch some Discos hittin' the trail! I'd also be willing to pay a few bucks more for DVD, but that's my opinion. I think that DVDs are infinitely more versatile than their VHS counterparts. |
