I was reading the post on the Bentley manual for for the 95-99 D1s...my question is this: Are the things covered in that manual also applicable to the 94 D1?

Henry,

Depends on what things you are trying to do. The engine managment system is different 3.9 vs 4.0 but I think all the drive lines systems are the same.

Oh okay. So to clarify, the engine / engine management references might be different, but the drivetrain info is the same?

I would think it would cover a 94 also. The 4.0 didnt show until 96, so a 95 is still a 3.9. The rest is the same.

I could be wrong, but the Bentley/Brookland manual I have covers both the 3.9 14CUX and the 4.0 GEMS within the same manual; good for '94 to '99. (also covers the Tdi...)
