The Disco help me get my '70 MGB home yesterday. I can't wait for the snow to melt to go topless.

John,

does "to go topless" apply to you under the hood of MG, or there's another meaning i don't know of?

John-
That's a great little trailer, yours? My wife found 2 Series Rovers in a field somewhere near Colony NY last week. She had a conference there and as usual had the Rover radar on for me. I might investigate the suspects this Spring if it ever warms up. We are going to have a summer, right?

Yeah what is summer? We had a little Spring for about a week, then it all went away. The trailer belongs to my neighbor, good to know it's available in a pinch! Where is the series truck? I live a few miles north of Colonie.

Last week I was raking leaves, pruning ect. in shorts and this week warming up the car so my kids don't freeze in their carseat! It's been the longest winter of my life. Hopefully mid-50's later this week though, yippee!

I am going to pull out a NY map and hopefully see if she can pinpoint the location better on the two Series trucks. She has a pretty good idea where it is, I'll get back to you about it. My neighbor also has a trailer that I am welcome to use. It's a 16 footer, perfect size to haul a Series truck home.

John,

Congrats on the MG. Hope the under the hood work doesn't add up too much. Be careful. A neighbor is restoring a 60 MGA and found a B engine and 5 speed supra transmission 'kit' for less than the cost of rebuilding the original B engine. If your interested let me know and I'll get the details.

Thanks Mark,

It's running, but needs a tune up. The big job will be the interior. It needs to be completely replaced. Just needs a few bits a pieces and TLC. Hopefully not too bad. The rockers, sills and floor pans have been replaced. It also has an overdrive transmission.

I've always admired the big Healeys. Nice!

John interior is not too bad to do unless it needs a new dash. Take your time on it. I found a place that does sell replacement parts for your Parrish hard top if you need seals etc.
http://www.fiatparts.com/htparts.htm
Moss I think is still having their interior parts sale on right now.
You will love that OD when it is up and running. When I changed mine to OD back in 90 it made a very nice difference.
Best of luck with it! Nice to see another on the road soon.

Hey John,

That looks nice! Sorry I didn't post sooner, but I've been dealing with sick kids, and my 13 yr. old Golden Retreiver (my best friend through thick and thin) has had some "issues" requiring specialized care in Denver (65 miles away). So, I have not had too much time here.

I'll post some pics of my B here one day.

Snowing since October here, but the last few days have been in the 50's and sunny:-)

Think of driving the Discovery back to VA from CO this summer, rather than flying. Not sure yet, but mulling it over.

Have fun with the B!

Jack

Thanks Jack, hope the kids and dog are OK. It just snowed and iced here last week, but 50 degrees today. I can't wait to get going on the MG!

Drive that Disco!

-John
