I like the look of the Mantec better with the disappear into the fender cut rather than the along the side look of the Safari, but is there a difference between them? Quality? Looks like Mantec is more expensive....anyone recommend a good source? |

Hey Rans, I agree with you on the Mantec. Looks much cleaner and since it doesn't run the whole length of the fender, it's less prone to getting bashed. I also like the fact that it's steel and not plastic.

I have a safari snorkel on my truck. It is funny how many stares it gets. Anyway, as has been discussed here before, despite the fact that it is a plastic snorkel, it still is quite strong. It isnt like an errant tree branch will break it. Its very strong. But I will admit that the Mantec has a nice look to it. Just couldnt justify the difference in cost when the end result would be the same. |

I considered the Safari until I saw one on a Jeep and decided I'd save my pennies for the Mantec. Maybe it's me, but I just don't like the appearance of the Safari. |

The Mantec is SOOOOOO Much cleaner looking. From what I've read the Safari flows better (partially because of the forward facing snout I gather.)

Randy, make contact with Dean Brown. He has one of the Mantec snorkles I believe and lives right near you and your work over in NJ. I'm sure he would share his experiences with you. |
