I really like the pictures of troops sitting in Saddam's furniture after taking over the Palaces.

I thought it was great how they were dragging his head off the statue down the street....some sitting on it.

Freedom is a beautiful thing, watching it develop live is incredible! I was against the imbedded reporters at first, however I could not have been more wrong.

I was a little disappointed that we didn't leave the Iraqi people to topple that statue. I saw them working on it this morning with the sledgehammer and I thought it would make a better statement to the world for them to do it then for the Army of Liberation to raise a flag on it and topple it like an Army of Occupation would do. I know it's a subtle point, but I really want to see those French and other naysayers take it up the ass on this whole thing, and and I'd rather see us not give them more ammunition to criticize the greatest country in the world!!

Good point Rans. Did you see the American flag over his face? That will be twisted by the crackpots for sure. They should have just given them some C4 and let them at it.

I think it's great seeing our Boys in there removing statues and taking baths in the indoor pools of the Palaces. But then again, I get wood from seeing a B-2 dropping 16 2000 lb JDAMS on one pass. :-)

France, Russia, and Germany are going to meet in a special summit to talk about their roles in post war Iraq. I think we should hand all three of them a broom and tell them to get hot cleaning up!

it was strange but when i saw that last night i felt a lot of pride in our guys over there and felt really happpy for the iraqi people. the bottom of the sandals being rubbed all over sadams head was great. that is one of the worst insults in the arabic world. and it was being done on national tv for the rest of the arabic world to see. im loving it.

Even Al-Jazeera is giving fair coverage. Normally there's always an Arabic spin (but no more so than CNN spins things our way, I suppose).

http://english.aljazeera.net/topics/index.asp?cu_no=1&lng=0&template_id=1&temp_t ype=44

They show the crowds rejoicing and tell of the Iraqi's throwing flowers to our boys.

If you listen closely, you can hear those that opposed this liberation choking on their words.

Al-Jazeera was chased out of Basra by Iraqis for their war coverage! The Arab world is dillusional. Take a look at today's papers:
http://www.irna.com/en/press/qview.shtml

While I can't read Arabic, I can look at the pictures they are publishing. They are setting themselves up for generations of problems.

A good read:

I hope at least one of our marines soiled Saddam's toilet with recycled MRE matter.
