Does anyone have mpegs or .wav files of the sound [idling, revving, etc.] of the Borla exhaust on a Disco or 4.0 RR?

Thanks

I went by a muffler shop today asking about a stainless steel muffler with more flow than the original for the Rover. He didn't have any in stock but could have them in a day...he then remembered a Borla he had put on a vehicle and taken off 4 months later (don't know the reason). He said he would replace my resonator with a straight pipe curved down at the end and replace the muffler with the Borla for $50 (its much shorter than the stock so will need an extra pipe up there too). The inlet and outlet are the same size. I was like, "umm, ok sure...what time tomorrow do you want it?"

They have about 6 differant mufflers they want me to hear to see which sounds the best (just clamp it on and off until we find the best one).

Please tell me you don't wanna spend all that money just to change the sound....that's what flowmaster people do. I can't really talk because I have a flowmaster, but my muffler rusted out and i proceeded to hack off the pipe extention past the end of the bumper they claimed "would make it a lot better sounding." I had the Flowmaster 40 Delta Series installed along w/ resonator removed for $150. It would've been cheaper at a typical muffler shop but I chose a customization shop that I know does quality work (which they did, except for making the tailpipe longer).

Brad, refresh...I added to the original post, believe me, I am the last person in the world to spend $500 on the exhaust.

I have the full NRP onmy 94- I don't regret anything about the quality or the sound, but the first time out after install, and I got hung up at Paragon and dented the pretty y-pipe, I had second doubts about something so expensive in such a relatively vulnerable place!

I think sound is about all you really get -
a deep growling, roar like sound on acceleration
at low to mid speeds.
Much louder than stock inside, especially
in the back seat.
I never felt any increase in torque or horsepower.

The Borla muffler was installed and resonator cut off last week. I doubt there was much power increase but I think my gas mileage has improved and the check engine light went off (it had not gone off for 6 months and its now been nearly a week and hasn't come on since).

Idling 6 feet away

I'll post some off-road videos with it on tomorrow.

Doesn't gas mileage typically decrease with increased airflow through the exhaust due to less back pressure?
