Hi guys, I run a (very) small Off Road car buisines in Germany. (www.off-road-schoener.de). I am dealing only with Land Rovers. My question is what can I do to improve gearchange on a used DiscoII with 93000km on the clock. Shifting from and to third is sometimes hard, if not impossible. On the other hand it works fine for a lot of gear changes, then suddenly the next change from 4th to 3rd is hard. I think the synchromesh started to make problems. Any Ideas what gearbox oil could help? Should I use the recomended MTF94 or is there something better to help gearchanging?? |

Hmmmm, Red Line MTL will improve the longevity of the synchros but, if anything, will make it shift harder than with ATF. It will be especially hardshifting when cold. Is there ATF in the R380 now? That will make it shift easy. Otherwise... maybe it is broken? |
