Rear door will not open

When i arrived at my destination i tried to open the rear door and it will not open.I then locked and unlocked the door thinking it might solve the problem and now my alarm sounds when ever i open any doors or start the car. I cannot open the rear door from the outside or inside and i am tired of disconecting the battery to reset the alarm Anyone have any ideas how to open the rear cargo door? Is there any way to reset it?
