What do people use if anything. I am thinking about something to power my cooler and whatever I need within reason.

Has anyone used solar power for powering stuff while off road like an electric cooler, laptop, radio, emergency jump start, recharging stuff, etc... How about a battery with a panel? Has anyone seen these setups?

I didn't read all those threads Eric, but Harbor Freight tools sells a 45 watt solar panel for around $300 I think. Its a big fold out one with three 15W sections. That's pretty cheap compared to others I've seen and its powerful too.

As since you looked at inverters, those prices suck dick. Look in BJs and you can pick up a 2500 / 5000W(max) inverter for $300. I have the 1000/2000 version and I've used it for ages and its great.
