Anyone know of a place to buy some keys like this? If they'll work for a '96 disco that is...

Thanks,
Jared

Try your dealer
It has Land Rover on it, but it will probably only work for DII or new RR, be surprised if it works on a 96.

The key that you showed only works on 95-99 Range Rover. 99 and newer are a different part. There is no way to use this key on any Disco.

Really? I have a 1995 LR Disco I on the way to me, and it has 'NO KEYLESS ENTRY'. I believe the owner just doesn't know that it did at one time.

I have searched EBAY, and among other devices for a keyless entry pad; simular to the one above. But there have been many reports on the forum, ebay, elsewhere of certain devices working with certain years.

I would love to get a switchblade key for my '95.

I will call the dealer tomorrow and attempt to find out what is available, but please respond if you can clear any of the confusion.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike,

All US Market Disco of your vintage were originally sold with keyless entry. In 1995 they used a one-button oval shaped fob, same as the Range Rover Classic of that year.

1996-1999 Disco I used a two-button rectangular fob.

1999 and on Diso II use a system integrated into the key.

The key show in the illustration for this thread is for a new Range Rover as I posted. All these fobs are regularly offered on Ebay, but they do not interchange. You need to buy the right one for your truck.
