Try your dealer It has Land Rover on it, but it will probably only work for DII or new RR, be surprised if it works on a 96. Pete S. |

The key that you showed only works on 95-99 Range Rover. 99 and newer are a different part. There is no way to use this key on any Disco. John www.robisonservice.com

Quote from RobisonService: "The key that you showed only works on 95-99 Range Rover. 99 and newer are a different part. There is no way to use this key on any Disco. John www.robisonservice.com" Really? I have a 1995 LR Disco I on the way to me, and it has 'NO KEYLESS ENTRY'. I believe the owner just doesn't know that it did at one time. I have searched EBAY, and among other devices for a keyless entry pad; simular to the one above. But there have been many reports on the forum, ebay, elsewhere of certain devices working with certain years. I would love to get a switchblade key for my '95. I will call the dealer tomorrow and attempt to find out what is available, but please respond if you can clear any of the confusion. Thanks, Mike |

Mike, All US Market Disco of your vintage were originally sold with keyless entry. In 1995 they used a one-button oval shaped fob, same as the Range Rover Classic of that year. 1996-1999 Disco I used a two-button rectangular fob. 1999 and on Diso II use a system integrated into the key. The key show in the illustration for this thread is for a new Range Rover as I posted. All these fobs are regularly offered on Ebay, but they do not interchange. You need to buy the right one for your truck. John www.robisonservice.com
