hi have just fitted a split charger but not sure if ive fitted it properly,i thought the feed from the relay was permanent live but only drew power from the second battery when the engine wasnt running and when the engine was running it connected and charged both batteries. my relay feed is only live when engine is running.im preparing to go to morocco next year and need a permanent live for a fridge but need to isolate one of the batteries for next day startup.thought the split charge was the answer but not sure now. any advice would be very helpful. thanks |

oops!... should of been more clear sorry. the relay i ftted has a lead to battery 1, a lead to battery 2, a lead to earth, a lead to alternator switch, and a lead labeled fridge, this is the one i thought would be permanent live? |
