I've got a 95 3.9 SWB. I am having to replace my muffler, and I am going to put a flowmaster on. Is there any advantage to putting two mufflers on (one for each down pipe and catalytic converter)? I have heard that sometimes an engine needs some backpressure, so i am curious if the 3.9 needs it, or should I put one flowmaster over two on it? Thanks for ya'll's input.

I just have one flowmaster on my 95 swb. It sounds great, i don't think you need two, as for the back pressure i'm not sure but i've had no problems.

I have one flowmster on mine but it is dual in dual out it is a custom setup that works awesome i also have headman headers, but besides that on a rover best upgrade you can do is let the exhaust flow I hear many good things from people who do this

I just installed a 50 series Deltaflow muffler by Flowmaster yesterday. So far it sounds fine. Interior resonance is quite low as compared to my old 3 chamber mustang muffler. Around 1800 there's a bit of droaning then goes away. Exhaust is a tad bit louder but can't tell how much from inside the vehicle. Haven't had a chance to go on a long hwy ride yet but I predict it should be ok.

Shane,

I don't have the p/n handy, can get it tomorrow.
2.25" inlet center/2.25" outlet offset.
