Alright. I'm going to do the best job I can at explaining this, so please bear with me. A few weeks ago, I heard a pop under me and the seat began to sag. Upon investigating, I found a rubber, mesh-like tensioner hanging from one side of the seat. (This is on a 95 disco, BTW). Apparently this is the only thing that supports the driver's weight under the seat cushion. Since it's been broken, I've been having some back pains due to my new, off-camber sitting position. Does anybody have any suggestions as to how I'm supposed to fix this thing? The local dealership said that it would cost $400 to buy the harness needed, but I told them to choke on it--I hate dealing with dealerships. Best- Zach |

This happened on my Saab on both passenger and driver seats. I just took it to a local auto upholstry place who was able to rebuild/replace the rubber mesh thing that supports the seat for less than $100. |
