well, my Y pipe is cracked by the exhaust manifold and is too brittle to weld (i tried). Any suggestion on where to get a new one? Any aftermarket ones available? btw, its a 95 disco Scott H | ||

Scott: The local muffler shop was able to weld mine (also 95), both the flanges and also a couple inches lower where the dual flare is welded to the pipe. I've only seen y pipes complete with cats - $699 and $799 at Atlantic British. Discount Rovers may be able to get you something for less. See my threads about glowing exhaust manifolds - the shop attributed the cracking (and the cracked manifolds) to overheating. Hope you don't have the same. Good luck. John | ||
