Hi, I was wondering if anyone had a site / sites where I can find info about 1998 / 1999 Discos? I am trying to find fuel consumption for the V8, power (kw) etc. I am unable to locate any sites at the moment. Or any site with General Disco Specs. Thanks

I don't know of a web-site with that info spelled out on Discos, but, you've found the best place to ask to find out such.... MPG depends on what's been done to the truck. My '99 was getting about 16.1mpg fairly consistent on the highway, as stock, going to and from work. If you go to larger tires, if you add a roofrack, if you have a heavy-duty brushbar, if you add weight as a winch or sliders, etc. etc., mileage will suffer. I'd say most people around here are pulling 13-15mpg, some might get a bit less, some more. Best I EVER got was 22mpg, when I was in a caravan of Series Rovers.... I could "sometimes" get 18mpg, but that was ALL interstate, trying to take it easy. It was rare, though.... Power... I don't know off the top of my head, it's about ~180hp.... I'll have to look it up this evening, if someone doesn't post before I remember to.... Anything else, try a search in the archives, but if you can't find it, ask! -L

When new, the sticker on my 98 said 19 highway and 12 city. I usually average about 12, but that is with a roof rack, lift, tires, bumper, and winch. Chad |
