My Dad just talked to Land Rover Greensboro, and they said that it was the DMTC that was causing the surge in the throttle. Anybody know what a DMTC is? They said that they are on backorder until August.

The only DMTC I know of has to do with an old carburator assembly.

Oh and I almost forgot. On newer vehicles a DMTC also has to do with the elimination of emissions from the system. What year?

Cal and ask them.

Eric,

It is an '01 D2, sorry I forgot to put that in there. The part regulates the mixture of fuel and oxygen, basically it sounds like the same thing as an oxygen sensor. The bad part is, they are backordered until August. Anybody have any idea where to get one?

Thanks,

Try a junk yard or someone parting a DII out on this board. Look in the for sale section on parting out.
