Does anyone have experience with the Baja Claws (and/or radial). I'm looking to purchase a set of 33's but wanted to hear some opinions. LT305/70R16(33x12.50-16) They have a mean tread that would look to be good in the mud (though apparently not?), but not really on side traction. I.e. driving on a hill, horizontally. Ride quality is important as well. Anyone's input is welcomed! Honestly, I just really like the tread design, but if they're gona suck to drive, and offroad.. there's no point to buying them. Thanks, -bob- |

I asked another board, and I had three negative responces, to zero possitive. Mostly stated that they were terrible in mud, and not good for use as a road tire. So far I'm at the opposite end here... *ponders* |

I currently have these on my Jeep XJ, for offroad tires they are really good.. But as for daily driving, and not to mention in the rain.... they really, how can I put this.... they suck! 40k miles and they are worn out. Scott |

terrible in mud? get real...they are so much better then any other mud tire except boggers I have tried I cant even tell you. in deep bottomless snow at 4 psi they are like a snowmobile the bias ply's are very stable on the road, allthough they are loud....radials...I havent tried. anyone that says they suck I would wonder if they really have tried them? get real ney sayers...they are costly but they are head and shoulders above any tire out there if you want a true 100% off-road tire |

So it's a big trade off, ahy? Excelent offroad tire, but poor onroad tire? I'm keeping the set of michilens on the wheels I have now, but they look pretty small with the 3" lift. I'm also not sure if I'm keeping this truck or not. Maybe I'll drive them for the summer. Would anybody want the set if I sell the Rover? They'll be mounted on the disco five spoke dishpan wheels. |

kind of like how owning a boat is a big trade-off...a boat is great on the water, but it sucks on-road. |
