Don't forget the rubber gloves when scrubbing those wheel wells with the eu d'orange . It would be a disgrace to end up with the dish pan hands!!

So, hanging out here.....Is it like sneeking off to a titty bar for you guys or what?

Great....just great: my name in the thread-title on the Dweb. Now I'm driving down the street ignoring the Hummers and waving at the LR's as I pass 'em. So how many of us are hanging out here...about 3-4?

As for washing the thing, I haven't washed it in weeks....I'm letting a protective layer of mud devleop...gives it character (as if the phony airbox's weren't enough).

Btw...Brian, thanks for posting that link...now I can say I visited that site at least once today...

Hi Alec........That is too funny:-) I didn't read the whole post but I'm glad to see you here.

I have not been wheeling since I went with you guys. My truck is undergoing a bit of a "renivation" but it will be ready very soon. I am hoping this weekend but if not then it will be ready in the next few weeks and I will be hitting trails again. I usually go every sunday and I go alot on Wed. If you check the trails section on this board I usually post trips there.

Steve...Now you are famous:-)

Oh just lovely....now I have a presence here on the Dweb?

Alec...I haven't given up on the H2-forum, it's just that I continually find myself having different views from other people. I talk about offroading, tires, suspension and 4x4 technology...and they're talking about chrome accessories, stereo's and...well...you know.

Remember when I spoke about how stupid those huge sidebars were (that destroy clearance and make the thing look like a giant minivan). How about when I suggested that anybody who doesn't take it offroad should just as well have bought a minivan? The thing has you making so many sacrifices to attain a higher degree of offroad capability...and most won't even use it?

I better not say too much more...someone will "copy" my writing and post it on that forum.....

I'd love to get out and do some offroading away from my home...but I have a 3-year-old and 1-year-old TWINS, not to mention I own and run my own business: the last thing I am is free to enjoy that sort of lifestyle. Thasnks for the invite. Me and Ho will get together and have some fun and video/photo it for the Dweb.

Alec,

Those photos show NOTHING, it looks like my driveway....you can't demonstrate any brand dominance with your F'in Tahoe2...my lowered Ghia convertible can do that...with the tires flat! You disgust me...that's not offroading, your rig sucks ass!

Sorry Alec....I don't mean a word of that...but I've always wondered what it would feel like to post such comments. Funny thing...I don't feel like a big-man for having done it. Perhaps I need to add a bit more profanity and sexually explicit references???

Nice pics dude.....good schtuff!

Ok Alec.....If you are hooked and you don't mind some dents and other "character" marks we can go have some fun now.

I think your rig would probably be able to handle Carnage Canyon. 6 rated trail right next to Left Hand. That is a "real trail" but not for the squemish, you will get some carnage. That will probably be the first trail I run after the truck is back up to speed....It is a good all around testing place. If you want to give that a shot lets do it in the next couple of weeks. Post those pics on the H2 board and it will make those guys pass out from shock. I will see if I can find some pics to e-mail you.

Now who was it that said, "Always do sober what you said you would do drunk, this will help you keep your mouth shut" or something to that effect.

Pics of Carnage on the way. I am on a dial-up so it will be a few min. before you get them.

When we do this I bet you are the first h2 to try it. I am fairly sure that a H1 could not do the trail. To wide.

And probably not an English guy to say that but I alway thought it was funny. And I have learned my leason more than once. Wait...a statement like I have learned my leason more than once....that doesn't make much sence does it. Thats kind of like an oxymoron huh?

That is at the same trail head as Left Hand Canyon.

Next week won't work...if my truck is ready I am going to run a rock crawl but I bet I can do it the weekend after. BTW...do you have a winch yet? I think I have needed mine just about every time I have been up there.

Alec,

Carnage by Lefthand is not THAT bad, I did it with my DII and the only mod I had at the time was a 3" lift and mud tires, no body protection, no winch, open diff and all. The only Damage I received was a 3" scratch on my door, and that was due to poor spotting. If you take your time and think things out you can make it through most trails without damage, Take is easy on the gas pedal and watch your tire placement.

Here are some pics of my DII @ Carnage

I may be up at lefthand Sunday so I will try to take a peek at Carnage and see what condition it is in.

Brian,

Nice pics...I can't decide if a bit less width would have helped or hurt in some of those shots...looks like fun either way!

Yeah it is narrow in a few places but I think it is just wide enough that you could squeek by but it will take some driving.

yeh see this is what I was talking about back when I got on the H2 forum guys getting past the first scratches and looking to pound there truck.

as I have said many times over and over with a big smile:-)

TRAIL TRUCK

you TRUE H2 enthusiasts ROCK!!!!

and I am glad to see you guys taking the path/trail you are into the world of off-road

over the years that I have been involved I have met some of the best people I have met in my life and relaxed and unwound in a way that not many other thing s come close to. the feeling of getting every person in a group through a near impassable trail no matter what they are driving is a feeling that is hard to describe or share.

I am sure that there are still people resentful for my comments and visits on the H2 forum, but the fact that some of the people that read them have maybe in some way seen the light and are now diving into a hobby and lifestyle that I so love makes me say fine H2 forum hate me!

once again...YOU GUYS ROCK!

Muskyman,

I can't speak for the entire H2 Forum...but I can try: nobody has any issues with you...at all!!! Hate you...not even!!! Many, including myself, enjoyed and appreciated your knowledge and experience!

...you gotta understand that a lot of people just dropped $60K for what they believe is an extrodinarily formiddable 4x4 offroad vehicle...they really aren't interested in hearing to the contrary. It's not fun having people tell ya you just got screwed and bought a piece of crap...especially when your driving it and loving it.

Spanning WELL beyond that...the forum had just endured an extremely wicked, hateful and desecrating assault from the Jeeper forum, then came along Carter with his "sucks ass" comment and a slew of other people talking about how dealers screwed us and we're pathetic.

You just came along at a very bad time...and seemiongly came with some nasty company. It's hard to see the "friendly" when he's mixed in with the hostiles.

The whole forum has pretty much done a change-over and very few people from 5 months ago are even still there. I myself still enjoy chatting, but I have to admit that I've fallen into feeling a bit ostracized on account of my bizarre interest in actually offroading this fat bitch on occassion.

I'm serioulsy considering picking up an H1 or maybe waiting to see what develops in the H4 area. Did you get a chance to check out the video we put together...nothing fancy, but fun?
