Yeah just take it to a paintless dent removal and they'll charge you around 75-100 depending on how hard it is to pull out.

Mark, they may have to drill a small hole on the rear passenger door, if they can't get to it easily. Then they bang the door out and put a small plug on it. Around $75-100. I had the same thing happen to my other car, but I decided to live with the ding, because I didn't want to drill a hole inside the door. If you don't want a hole in your door, make sure you ask before they start.

you can get a Ding King dent remover from Walmart for about $20. I have about 35 company trucks are we use our a lot. It really works depending on the type of dent. I would think that a dent from a shopping cart should be repairable.

you can save the cash and pretend that the damage occurred while off roading and not sitting in a parking lot. imagine you could impress your buddies, dazzle the babes, who knows where this could lead.

Those dentless repairs are great, I had a mobile one come fix a ding on my hood from a football. They use a black light at a certain angle and wedge-like tools from behind to massage it back into place. If you watch really close you see the tool subtly bulging the material back into place. Not perfect but very hard to detect afterwards, and they have to be able to access it from behind.

If you were going to get the door repainted by a good shop it would cost about $500 cash or $650 via another payment method. That's what we'd charge at least. I'd say just live with it or get the paintless stuff done. Hope it works out.

Here's a method I saw posted sometime ago (don't remember where). Blow hot air onto the dent using your wife or girlfriends hair drier (maybe your own) and heat it up, then place over it some dry ice (wrapped in a cloth). The sudden contraction sometimes is enough to pop out the ding.
I have tried this method on a number of dings with limited success. Worth a try!

Even though I own a ding king, I might try that the next time.

While you have dry ice on hand. Put some dry ice in a 2 liter bottle with some water and screw the lid on tight. Wait about 5 minutes and KABOOM! It sounds like a firework!
