I have tried unsuccessfully to search the archives for any scoop on just what fits, so I will throw this out to the audio-wise.

My DII did not come with a CD changer, but is wired for it. The OEM version is easily $600 and not necessarily the best option, so maybe you all can help.

My local car audio store says almost any 6 disk changer will work (within physical limits) because there are adapter cables for almost every product...so this muddles things as it may not be completely true.

saw one in autotoys.com for ~$300.
The description mentioned that there is an adapter that goes between the wire and the CD changer, and if I remember right it is at the CD changer end so you don't have to put the radio. If you get it let me know how it works out since I might get one myself after I save up some $.

I had one of the autotoys alpine packages in my 2001 DII for over a yr. Sold it to Paul Morgan (who's on this board) when I re-installed my old AutoPc. It's really a snap to install and it works great with the wheel controls too.

I just went to a shop called zippos or something. Any car audio place will be able to get you fixed up, for around 300-350 installed. They'll charge you for a cable ($90) plus some more for the cd changer. You really don't need to know which, I think there's only one that fits anyway. They'll sort you out and the installation will be free.

Only problem with me was the roof rack and lift meant I was too tall to fit in their garage, so they had to do it outside in the freezing cold LOL.
