Mornin' folks, Yesterday after exiting the highway my '96 Disco started idling very roughly, almost like it wanted to stall. After about 5 minutes, the check engine light came on. It runs fine once I'm up to speed, but at idle still sounds like its dying. I took it to AutoZone to pull some codes and got the ones mentioned above. The P0125 I'm familiar with...I got the same code about 3 months ago. I changed the temp sensor and the check engine light went off at the time. Could the sensor be bad already? Or did I screw up the job? (most likely) The P1316 is completely new to me. It says "Injector Circuit/IDM Codes Detected." This is a bit above my pay-grade. Can anyone point me in the right direction? What do I need to clean/repair/replace? Thank you in advance! Mike |

I was thinking, could the P0125 be a 'leftover' from the old problem that just got kicked out when the computer decided to turn the 'check-engine' light on? Also, the P1316...I need to change the plugs and likely the wires anyhow...could this be causing the problem? Maybe some carb-cleaner in the right spot? Thanks again, Mike |

when i was recharging my AC, the purge control valve (on/near the charcoal canister) started to chatter away, had erratic idle, check engine light came on and then it stalled. a few more restarts, and no more chatter. a few more restarts and the check engine light cleared. i didn't happen to get the codes, since this happens every once and a while. |

Thanks Danno...It runs rougher at times than at others...Hopefully this will prove to be self-correcting!! I do notice an oder when I shut her down...sorta like something is burning off. Carbon I assume?!? |

Bad fuel? My truck stinks when I use Shell, but doesn't on Chevron. And idle smoothness seems to vary depending on what brand of gas I'm using. |
