I have had my service engine light soon on for quite a while now with codes indicating bank 1 and 2 too lean. is this something I should ignore and reset the light with the OBDII reader (if possible)? I heard that reseting the light would erase other codes indicating possible failures!! what to do?

My understanding is that you should go ahead and reset the light and the truck will run through its tests for the next few days and if the light comes back on, check the codes and do something about them.
