I just had my T-case interlock removed because I could not get my shifter into low. Now it slides right into low but keeps popping out. What would cause this and how do I fix it?

is it the low lock or low unlock? On 2 occasions I have had my t-box slip out of low lock I attribute it to not have fully locked. How often does it happen for you Disco I or II

It occurs in both LOW lock/unlock. It stays in low for about 75 feet then pops out and buzzer comes on. It happens every time now. It was fine until I couldn't get it into low at all. After that was fixed is when this current problem began.

Mid-way up the side of your transfer case, you will notice an allen screw. Behind the screw is a small spring and a ball. This is some sort of a 'rail' that controls how much pressure is required to shift in and out of 4x4. Sounds to me that your spring might need to be tightened. Try turning 'in' the screw 1/2 turn and see if it fixes it. If not, keep trying 1/2 turns until it locks your gears appropraitely.

Be carefule, this thing is pretty sensitive to small adjustments. If you go to far, you will not be able to shift your transfer case at all. Be sure to keep track of your adjustments so you can return the adjustment back to it's original position in case this does not help.

I'm a total shade-tree mechanic, so use this at your own risk!

Thanks,
Mike B.
