depends...how much oil is it leaking (trust me, it is leaking oil), exterior condition, known service records, etc. You need to have someone that knows the trucks look it over.

The price is a little high for the mileage and year.

The price is fine depending on the situation. 95k miles is nothing for a LR. If it has been taken care of, that vehicle is just a pre-teen. But of course if you have a pre-teen you know that they come with a bit of attitude. It is unlikely that if it was taken care of that you will have engine or transmision problems but you may have little "character" issues. You may have a bit of an "attitude" to deal with. An example would be when you tell your kid to clean the dishes. It might be quite a task to get her to do it but with a bit of "adjustment" you will probably get her to do it, all-be-it, it would probably be easier to do it yourself.

Your Rover's windows or seats may need the same kind of "adjustment" but all in all you probably will end up with a good kid.

I would offer $5,500...maybe $6,000 cash tops. I just saw same year/mileage RR for $5,000.

David,

I paid $7500 for my 94 with 116K on it back in 2001. I thought it was a good deal because the body is mint and it had nearly every option. Click my profile if you want to see it.

I did put a lot of money into it, and I'll spare you the laundry list of things I fixed. But, today it has 139K and it pulls my 4000K boat no problem. Looks great, runs great, but still leaks like a sieve, especially the damn PS lines.

Brian is right - if you've never owned a Rover before it takes some getting used to. Don't expect anything electrical to work on a consistent basis. It's really odd how after a while you learn to live with the uncertainty of it all...

I agree with everyone here, get em down a few bucks and use your extra cash to get your PS lines fixed and buy a bag of oil absorbent compound.

With 2 DI's, my driveway makes pretty rainbows when it rains!

Come over to the dark side, David...

David,
I have a 99 Disco 1 SD with 121K and paid $6700 cash for her. Get the bastard down a little. Check on KBB.COM and buy on trade value. Best of luck. My $2$ worth.

Price seems high for a 1994 3.9L D1.
Would expect to have various annoyances at least.
Should also have cash reserves for all the gasoline it will guzzle down!
But it will get you many places offroad and back where most vehicles won't.

Has it got records with it? Has it spent more time on road or off? Last where do you live? Some cars bring more in one area than others, espeically imports. It($) does seem a little high.
