Usually this means you removed the gas cap with the truck running. Possibly the gas cap seal is bad, or there is another leak in the evaporative emission control system. I recalled someone writing or saying that a loose or missing cap will throw a code. I found the cap loose, tightened it, had the code reset...no repeat as yet.
