I am waiting for the archives to be loaded but thought someone might have a better memory than me and put me on the right track.

I am in the market for a rear ladder for the Disco. I seem to recall someone making one that they called the “Big Ladd” and was working on a slimmer design. I am interested in the slimmer version. Anyone have any idea who that was and how to get in touch with them. I thought it was ‘Slider’ but tried to email him and got no reply.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Are they going to even put the archives back up?

Todd,

It wasn't a set of plans, if I recall correctly... Slider is making them to sell.

Sorry I didn't clarify it. I am looking to buy a ladder. Liked the look of his.

What is the status of those ladders? Are they for sale? I am a big guy and I am afraid to get on a genuine ladder. If I recall, those ladders mounted around the door, not on it.

Marc,

That is the one I am talking about. I am just waiting for Slider to get in touch with me. I have an email in to him.

This is the email he sent out to some lists awhile ago...over the summer. FYI:

Quote:

A heavy duty ladder which will mount to your LR adventure rack and
other stable body areas.

A ladder that is made to be used, not just a cute add-on hanging off
your door mounted with Rivinuts!!??

Oh, did I mention that the rear door can remain fully open while
still being able to access your roof-top load??

This is currently in the prototype stage, however, it will be shown
in use on a Disco I at RoverFest. Look For it...(Epson Green w/ sand
glow wheels)

Disco II to be available this Fall.

Orders will be taken at RoverFest with 50% down and turn around time
should be a few weeks.
Cost: TBD (depending on the order quantity)

Photos will be posted and more information will be available next
week on the DiscoWeb following RoverFest.

Sound Interesting??

Email: Roverladders@aol.com

I believe I have his phone number if email doesn't work...but I'll only give it out if you really want to purchase and the email here doesn't work. I'd like to respect his privacy...

Well.... If he doesn't respond to emails, and does not make any effort to market this thing, doesn't it stand to reason that that maybe he isn't going to produce these for whatever reason?

Brian,

I will try this address. I'll let you know if I hear from Slider or not.

Thanks Again
