There is a rattling in the cat. converter. I have been told by several people that it needs replacing. the previous owner put an after market unit on the rig that is not up to specs. i want to replace with stock unit. how hard is this to do? do i dare try it myslef, or pay my trusty mechanic... |

Stock unit? No problem. Just buy a new "Y-Pipe for $600, undo the three bolts at each exhaust manifold, and the couple at the end of the y-Pipe, and replace. -P |

Ken...call me! Do a search on Yahoo for "rover catalytic converter" and it should pull up a few places that make the replacement Y-Pipes. You may have to order a new stud kit for the exhaust manifold as well (call Brit. Pacific if need be). |
