I thought it was just mine... LOL It happens to me also when I take large speed bumps too quickly. I assumed it was some sort of safety feature and that the Disco just figured you got into an accident and flipped on the four-ways for you in case you were unconscious Is there any technical explanations? Found it in the shop manual under Anti-theft System Function... Inertia switch An inertia switch is incorporated in the alarm system ECU. If ignition is on and the vehicle receives an impact sufficient to activate the inertia switch, the ECU will signal to unlock central locking actuators and flash hazard lights. Central locking will remain disabled for 30 seconds. To reset turn ignition off and then on after the 30 second period has elapsed. Hope this helps, Santo |

i know this might be crazy, but if you look in the owners manual, it's in there... and if you hit the dash board hard enough, it'll set them off too... |

On a D2, there is a reset for the inertia switch in the engine compartment on the passenger side firewall. Press down on the top of the reset assembly to reset the switch. You can also do the ignition reset method on a D2 as well. I am not familiar with the D1. |
