I have a D1 and water seems to be coming in through the windshield (the top passenger side). I have looked under the moulding and it seems the sealant has dried out and cracked. Contacted the dealer they said I had to go to a glass shop to get it fixed. The glass shop said that for $85 they will remove it and refit it, but there is a 50/50 chance of breaking the windshield. The new one is $513 from the dealer though the glass place said they could do a new one for $350 installed. I am really looking for advices on what to do here, Id really not rather replace it when there is nothing wrong with the glass (well except a small star which I fixed and not to mention I dont have a job at the moment). Also I'm not sure about using these aftermarket glass cos I've had some pretty bit rocks hit this one and not make a dent; also I'm curious about the fit of the glass. The floor is open and I appreciate any comments. James

James , I would buy a tube of strong bonding adhesive from Lowes or HD, pull back the molding and let er'rip. It would be a lot cheaper than your aforementioned ideas and hey I bet it would work. Good Luck Bob |

Well I tried that once, but I might give it a go again. Reading through my previous posting, I really need to learn how to type, or at least check my postings before posting. James |
