I have not found a definative answer to this in the archives...I have a 99 Disco II which is stock other than Bilstein shocks...it does have SLS. I want to get some larger more aggressive tread AT tires, and none seem to be available in the stock size. Any recommendations on sizes...I would like to go with 265\70\16 if they do not rub or require trimming, or I guess 255\70\16's...I do not want to go narrower than stock. Any suggestions on specific tire models? I only do light to moderate off-roading. |

I have been told that 265/75/16 do not rub, but I have not tried yet. Perhaps using a 1" spacer will help.

Check out the "tires & wheels" article in the tech section. Should answer your questions. |

I have read the info at disco2.com, but I am looking for the definative answer as to whether the 265\70's are going to actually rub or not...one article says they rub a little, the other says its the largest size that will work without problems on a stock suspension...I would rather find this out before I buy... |
