Hey folks, Help me figure this one out. It could be off an episode of the X-Files. There is one section of highway just east of Joplin, MO. Everytime I drive that section headed west, never happens headed east, either my gas gauge or speedo go wacky. I mean bouncing and jumping all over the place. Vehicle is running fine?????? What gives, Aliens? the Mother ship?? It's a '97 XD. This problem only occurs on that short section of road and I don't drive it that often, but when I do, BAM!! ?????? Scully, where are you?? |

Well, there's the said-to-be-famous Tri-State Spooklight not too far away: http://www.ghosts.org/ghostlights/hornet.html and http://www.holysmoke.org/wb/wb0292.htm If you're really curious, you can order a magnetic anomaly map of Missouri from the USGS here: http://www.omnimap.com/catalog/cats/missouri.htm No idea whether it'd show anything, though. Big one of the U.S is here: http://pubs.usgs.gov/sm/mag_map/mag_s.pdf |

Maybe with the alignment of the planets in 2000 the Bermuda Triangle has shifted to just east of Joplin Montana? Any cars gone missing in Joplin lately? |
