I have just read a resent posting, which sounds similarly to an annoyance that I�m experiencing. I also have a top end ticking noise (on passenger side) which come from time to time. The ticking accrues not a start up, but only after the motor has warm up, or I have driving a few miles. It�s a consonance taping sound as I�m idling at a stop light (or parked), when I give the motor gas the taping will increase sounding like marbles rolling around, the sound will stop after I reach 10-15ml/hr. (sounds like something in a fan!). My local mech. has tried to correct this problem, but seem to be at a loss. (valve work, motor flush, new seals etc.). My 94 3.9 w/130mls seem to run strong (idle fine, no smoke, full power, no light indications (oil pressure etc.)). Can it be the �Rocker Arms�! |
