Anyone have a handy rule of thumb as to how much, in percentage terms, a Disco costs for repairs, on average, vs. other vehicles (say, Jeeps or Asian imports)?

Say for major things like replacing an engine or transmission, what range would you expect in $ terms for the Disco vs. another type?

Thanks.

In actual fact the Land Rover vehicle is a very cheap vehicle to repair if you can (a) do the work yourself; (b) steal the parts, otherwise, it depends who you take it to, and how big of a schnook they think you are.

It's not the cost, it's the frequency.
